    Hi Gang,

Last weekend we (my SO and I) did some serious mountian biking
Saturday we went to Pawtuckway (sp?) and started off from the
mountain rd. and did the loop. Man some real mountain biking
especially if ocassionaly you take one of the trails off of the
main loop. For the first time I realy felt the functionality of
my new Marzocchi shocks. I now know for sure that I prefer them
to my old Rockshox quadras and will in my opinion air/oil is
        the way to go.
Sunday we went to mount Agamenticus(sp?) in Main, this was
recommended to us by the clerk at 'Official Information ;)'
Off of the main loop we just took on side trail and boy
what a surprise. This is one of the best mountain biking I've
done around here. There was however plenty of mud. When we
got back to the parking area, I saw a lot of serious MTB'rs
or atleast some serious machines. Everyone had atleast front
shocks, many full suspension bikes. From Klien's to GTs to
        Proflex.
We only tried that one trail by chance. So I'm asking if anyone
in here is familiar with this area that can give us some pointers
on the trails around there as none of the trails were marked.
This place is only a half hour ride from our house (NH seacost)
so we'd like to go back again.

    Thanks,

    Shaw

    Julia,

I don't have the map with me here. But this is how we got there,
Once you get into state of Main on I-95, we stopped at Official
Information center, (which is pretty much loaded with pamphlets of
everything you want to know aboutn Maine) anyhow we just asked the
clerk on how to get there, she provided us with a map. It is the next
exit after official info center. Take somethinCHASE pound road to
mountain rd and follow signs to Mt. Agementicus. At the base of the
mountain you will see a bunch of cars with bike racks and probably
see some mountain bikers loading/unloading right off the parking
there is a dirt road if you ride into that there is all kinds a
trails (some single tracks) off of it. If you take the paved road
to the top of the mountain (you can drive your car up don't ride the
bike, too much uphill) on top of the mountain there is a big board
with the trail maps painted on it. It is also an interesting sight
     on top!

Hope this helps, if you need more detail let me know and I'll bring
     my map to work Monday.

| There is a sign for it right on Rte 1. If you are heading north the
sign will be on your left. I believe it's in York or close to the
    Ogunquit line.
