    Does anyone have route details for the T-Bones Omnium, May 30-Jun 2.
    
    All I've heard so far is that the Thursday route will go from
    Manchester through Nashua, Hudson and turn around in Salem.
    I thought I'd watch it go by twice from 128 & 111 and then ride up to
    Manchester to see the finale.
    
    I have heard that the Friday route will be around Winnepesaukee,
    Saturday will be 80 miles from Jackson to the summit of Mt W (which is
    not usually 80 miles) and Sunday will be a Crit in North Conway.
    
    For anyone planning to view the latter, I suggest arriving early and
    using a bike to get around, traffic is normally horrendous there.
    
    (Btw, anybody have a list of the TdL winners?)

been answered - might want to check there?

    I just called the Merrimack Police.... and got the scoop for Tomorrow.
    The race leaves Manchester at noon, and will travel south into 
    Merrimack on Wire road, to Joppa road, to Meetinghouse road, to
    Naticook road and out Tinker road into Nashua.  These are roads I
    ride often (as they are just a couple miles from MKO) and so you
    can expect to see me parked near the top of the hill on Naticook
    road for a show between 12:30 and 1:00.  I bet they don't even get
    out of the saddle.  
    
    Does anybody have the scoop for the Mt Washington finish - that would
    make for a jolly picnic...

    I heard last evening that it starts at the T-Bones in Manchester at
    12:20, sprints are at T-Bones in Hudson and Salem.  Hudson is expected
    at 1 to 1:15 and 2:15.   From Naticook in .2, the route will take
    L Camp Sargeant
    R Tinker
    R Manchester
    L Canal st (maybe the cutoff?)
    R Central
    R Lowell (to the T-Bones)
    L Pelham (across from my Condo)
    R Bush Hill (short steep, somebody will get out of the saddle)
        (sharp mean left at the bottom of the hill before the climb to
        Bowman)
    L Bowman
    R Jeremy
    L Mammoth
    R Nashua
    ...
    
    All to retrace after the turnaround in Salem.  The finish is in the
    Millyard district in Manchester.
    
    I'm going over to Bush Hill, on my bike, of course.  It ain't much but
    it's the best climb of the day, both ways.

    I have also heard that the finish will be 3 laps on or near Arms Park
    on Commercial St in Manchester.  Commercial St is parallel and near the
    river approximately between the Granite St and Bridge St bridges.

    I glaced at the front sports page of the Union Leader this morning.
    Seems the 3 lead riders got ahead of the pace vehicle, and wound
    up unprotected entering the last 3 laps in Manchester. There was
    no traffic control, and near collisions were happening fast and
    furious. They called the race after the lead riders completed 2
    of the 3 laps prior to the finish. I believe there were no points
    granted for the finish.
    Luckily no accidents occured. It was a shame all that work went
    unrewarded as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see the So. NH
    stage dropped from next year's race.

Betcha there are some unhappy campers out there! Bummer. Things seemed 
to be kinda loose as far as road-marshalling/police protection in 
Merrimack on the first trip through. Past experience with organizing a 
few races seems to indicate that unless local police are familiar with 
bike racing they seem to have no idea how fast things are gonna happen. 
Not sure what happened in this case, but sounds probable. Fortunately, 
they DO tend to improve with a bit of experience. Tends to be real 
unpleasant many times (e.g. yesterday). Glad nobody got hurt.
