| 1416.1 | You're missing something | TALLIS::JBELL | Zeno was almost here | Wed Jan 31 1990 11:25 | 6 |
| | Something's broken for you. I've been getting at least a dozen
    messages per day.
    Which server are you using?

|  |     My impression has been that mountn is slightly wimpy as a server;
    there seem to be relatively frequent messages about running out
    of disk space, crashing, etc.
    This thread should probably be moved to the news-backbone notesfile.

    confirmation on the traffic. Over and out. - Chris

| | For the definitive info, look in upsar::news-backbone.
    For those who are only mildly interested, usenet is sort of like
    notesfiles except that the news actually gets copied to all
    participating machines. It is mostly external, so be careful
    about company confidential items.
    Within DEC, usenet news percolates through a number of the
    ultrics machines. You can either get an account on one of these
    machines, or get a copy of vnews or xrn (if you run decwindows)
    to read it from one of them.
    The news group rec.bicycles is the one.
