| 1035.1 | A bigger group this year? | STARCH::WHALEN | Have the courage to laugh | Thu Mar 09 1989 22:27 | 36 |
| | Many of us participated in this ride last year, and will probably
    do it again this year. I don't believe that anyone got their pledges
    through the conference. After last year's ride there was some mention
    of getting "team jerseys". Well since the date has been announced,
    now's the time to get organized and do this if people want to.
    The date is June 24-25, I think they're trying to do it before it gets
    too hot this year.

    Here's the list of who participated last year:

From:	USMRM1::ALAVALLEY    13-JUL-1988 17:38
To:	@MSBIKE.DIS,MTS$"NRO::PAM BURDICK",MTS$"NRO::RENEE STEVENSON"
Subj:	"FINAL" MS BIKE HEADCOUNT / PLEDGE TOTAL
   The final count is an astounding 25 participants, from 13 different
   DEC Locations, whose total pledges including "Matching Gifts" --
   are over $14,000!
   MET - Matt Johnson SHR - Mano Chinnaswamy OGO - Mark Phillips
   YWO - Jonathan Bush SHR - Rich Whalen OGO - Marian Blackshear
   MRO - Phil Johnson LMO - Fred Fisher OGO - George Kontulis
   MRO - Alan LaValley DLB - Chuck Kiezulas OGO - Daniel Bonner
   WJO - Hilary ODonnell MLO - Kathy Gossett OGO - David Salter
   WJO - Nancy Gabriel ACT - Joe Cyr OGO - Gary Kenefick
   LCD - Ed Fehrenbach HLO - Susan Bakker OGO - Mike Tuomi
   NRO - Pam Burdick ??? - Nancy Macone OGO - Steve Baker
   NRO - Renee Stevenson
 BTW - Marie at the MS office wanted me to remind you to send in a
       completed & SIGNED Matching Gifts form for those pledges you
       received from DEC employees. She has many unsigned forms
       submitted during registration.
  Regards,
   Alan

| | It would be great if we could all ride together. However, I'm located
    in the Metro Washington, DC area. the MS 150 that I'll be riding
    is going to be held May 20-21. It will start in Vienna, VA and
    end in Harpers Ferry, WV. Any interested riders in the MAA?

| | I am planning on riding also. How do we qualify as a Corporate
    Team? Shouldn't everyone who's going to ride identify themseleves
    as a Digital person?...

| | I received my registration flyer today. Minimum fund raising amount
    is up to $200 this year. If you register before May 12, you get
    the "NEW, exclusive, IN TRAINING T-SHIRT to wear while you get ready
    for the big Weekend on Wheels."

    I'm sure that all those that rode last year will be getting flyers,
    those that are interested in participating for the first time can
    get one by writing to:

    Wow. I received mine 2 weeks ago.

    Maybe since I have ridden the repair van the past couple years,
    they want me to get the date on my calendar early for this year.
