| 637.2 | Wheelworks in Belmont | DISSRV::WESTER |  | Tue Apr 26 1988 12:42 | 12 |
| | In the Boston area I've only seen them at Wheelworks in Belmont
    on Trapelo road.

    Just a note of interest. Last year a friend was looking at Tommasino
    and someone told him that they are really Guerciotti's imported
    by Ten Speed Drive imports and repainted in the U.S. Apparantly
    if you combine the first and last name of the owner of Ten Speed
    Drive you come up with Tomassino. This all sounds weird to me but
    you never know. Has anyone else heard that rumor?

| 637.3 | do you mean Tomasso? | GENRAL::P_DUNN |  | Wed Apr 27 1988 14:31 | 5 |
| | If you're reffering to Tomasso, their aluminum framesets are made
    by the ALAN; as are GUERCIOTTI aluminum framesets.

    re: .3 No, not Tomasso. I've seen them around, but I'm thinking
    of buying a Tommassino from Colorado cyclist. Also, I called the
    Wheelworks in Belmont and they don't carry them..... Any other
    ideas???

    re: .1 Sorry about that..... I know where I am so I just assumed
    everyone else did....  Boston area....

     Tommassini's have been around for about 20 years. They are
    made in a factory in Sogretto, Italy, which is about 120 miles
    north of Rome. A shop here in Britain was carrying them last
    year and they had 3 models: one made from Columbus SLx tubing,
    one from SL and another from Columbus matrix tubing which fits in
    in quality and price between the SL and the old Aelle tube sets.

    Christopher
