Hello
We are getting the message "sorry ,this system is engaged" when connecting
via telnet to the ATMswitch900F.
There was a previous working telnet connection, but this connection failed and
was abnormally terminated by a reboot from the VNswitch where the telnet PC was
connected to.
ATMswitch is still using the old connection while a new connection can't be
made.
Is there a workaround to release the telnet port on a ATMswitch900F
after an abnormally broken connection.
The only solution I found was reboot the ATMswitch 900F.
Access to the ethernet port of the ATMswitch900F is via the thinwire in the
HUB900
Implementation of an idle timer on the console would be a good solution.
I had a similar behavior on the telnet session to the GIGAswitch ATM.
Regards Gerrit

Hoi Gerrit,
The GIGAswitch/ATM has a console command to clear a flag that the
telnet session is used. I think the command is obmClear.
Do help in the GIGAswitch/atm prompt and it will tell you.
I dont know if the ATMswitch900 has the same command.
Regards, Peter.

Just do "logout" to disconnect telnet session every time. eric [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] | |||||
