    Hi!
    
    A customer is having a problem with having a QLC V2.0 DAGGL-BA/revE (in
    slot 2) of a 13-slot GS/ATM when mixed with QLC V1.5 DAGGL-AA/rev C 
    (slots 1,3,6). The CLOCK is rev D.
    
    The firmware versions are V2.1.1 for the V1.5 and V2.1.2 for the V2.0
    
    I've asked him to let the GS/ATM with the V2.0 alone: it seems to work
    OK.
    I've asked him to upgrade all the V1.5 to V2.1.2: he says he can't.
    Here's what he gets:

    After that he reboots the switch but he's still in 2.1.1.

    He tried to modify the flags in the Control file without success. He says
    he tried to downgarde the QLC V2.0 to V2.1.1 without success.
    
    So the questions are:
    When looking for the V2.1.2 firmware, I didn't find any Release Notes.
    I found a V2.1.1a. What is it?
    Are there any limitations when mixing QLC V1.5 and V2.0 (like the V2.0
    should be the Master Line Card and thus in the first occupied slot from
    the left)?

    Is he doing the two-stage boot needed when changing ROM versions, e.g.

        CLK> DE/SML

        CLK> RESET

        ... after it comes up to L-mode or K-mode wait ...

        CLK> DE/SMF

        CLK> RESET

    I'm not sure about what exactly is he doing so we decided that I would
    upgrade OUR GS/ATM from V2.1.1 to V2.1.2 to see how it goes and then
    insert his QLC V2.0...
    
    Have you got any comments regarding my questions on mixed (QLC V1.5 and
    QLC V2.0) environemnts?

    PS: Is DE/SML equivalent to issue the force_image_load (or download,
    I'm writing this at home from memory ;-)?
    

    Hi again!
    
    I was on-site this morning and could upgrade the QLC V1.5  without
    problems. In fact he didn't do the force_image_reload although I've
    asked if he had read the Release Notes (for V2.1.1) as this is clearly
    stated there. Hence the status. After that we could insert the QLC V2.0
    (in slot 2 as previously) and everything seemed to work like a charm.
