    Hi guys,
    
    	the layout of my road is such that, when I wish to leave my drive,
    it is necessary to stick the front of the car out at least 3 foot into 
    the road before I can see whether the road is clear. ( the road is a 
    narrow lane with high hedges on both sides ).
    
    Having nearly had two accidents in the last couple of weeks coming out
    of my drive, I am looking for one of those large convex mirrors to 
    position opposite my drive, thus enabling me to see both ways along the
    road.
    
    Can anyone help me with possible sources of such mirrors ?

	Try a shopfitters, many shops use them as security mirrors.

	1) Would you need permission from the council/opposite owner to plant a pole with the mirror on? 2) Alternatively, i have seen people who have place NORMAL wing mirrors to thier driveway posts pointing opposite ways to combat this type of thing. Probably a lot cheaper too! Lewis.

	Try Slingsby. I have a copy of their catalogue here and convex safety mirrors are listed for #55.00 for a 16" version up to #153.00 for the 34" version (p.325). I don't know where your node (FUTURS) is so maybe you can call their London branch and see if they can point you to the nearest outlet - 081-877-0778. Ger

	...Try your County Council Highways office, they have to procure these mirrors, or how about knocking on someones door? (Preferably someone who has such a mirror opposite their drive), or 2 mirror tiles, or a flexible mirror ?

	Try a company called Greenham Trading. They specialise in traffic cones, signs etc. Good old yellow pages should give you a number.
