    Does anyone have a list ( with telephone nos ) of major car auctions  
    that specialise in newish Vauxhalls, I'm looking for a Cavalier GSi
    or Calibra 16v. Any comments good or bad about the auctions would also
    be appreciated.

    I don't know of any car auctions which specialise in one make..
    
    but a number of large auction groups (ADT for instance) have special
    days (maybe once a month) for late year, british cars.  mainly fords,
    vauxhalls & rovers etc..
    
    Best thing I've found which lists dates, phone No.s etc is a magazine
    called 'Car Auction' or something similar. It's a small A5 sized jobby.
    I think some of the used price guides (eg Parker's) list auction sites
    as well.

    Central Motor Auctions (Shepshed) in Leicester hold there next
    Vauxhall only auction on the 16th Sept, only problem is I believe
    this is closed to the trade maybe even for just GM dealers. 
               Heres the number in case someone knows another way

Back in the middle of summer I was at one in Glasgow ,London Rd past the Zoo
and on the way to Parkhead , the had what appeared to be a fleet of Vauxhalls
different models and specs a really good mix , they also had a fllet of VWs
back from VAG .I dropped in and asked if there were any reserved prices on the 
cars as the action didnt start until I think 18:00.

Prices seemed to me to be a bit on the high side but I asked about 2 

Nova 1.2 3dr low mileage merit was about �1200 cheaper than in a garage at that 
time

Polo 3dr coupe low mileage was around � 900 cheaper than in a garage.
