Can't remember seeing this in here, and it might help some people.
I recently has the radio nicked out of my lease car, while it was parked
at a railway station. They did a very porofessional job; removed the radio
chassis, carefully disconected it, etc....
Anyway, when I rang Autoglass to arrange the window replacement, they told
me they do a radio replacement service as well.
They only fit Phillips, and they only do at their base, but it's a good
way to minimise the paperwork and hassle, if you can take advantage of
it.
One good thing; since car radios have improved over the last year, the
replacement has RDS on it. They have a list of "standard fitments" on
most cars, and just slip in the equivalent Phillips model.
