Hi 'yall
Does anyone out there know what the signs of worn shocks
are? Ive got an Audi with coil spring suspension with the shocks
mounted inside the coils. The problem is that the rear wheels
are bowing inwards, like the pic shows it is from the rear of the
car, but not quite as bad as it looks, the car is handeling like
a dog and tyre wear is *very* bad on the inside if the tyre.

The question is, is it the shocks or the spring coils which need
replacing? And dont say both 'cos Im not that rich. thanks ..dom

Thanks for all the help, the problem was simply wheel alignment
which cost 35 to fix and was "a bitch of a job" to quote the
mechanic who did it. The wheels are now aligned to within +/- 1mm
of true geometry. I had four new tyres and all wheels balanced plus
the brakes seen to as well. it feels like a whole new car, pity
Ive got to sell it, any offers? ....dom
