| 734.15 | Any recent info? | WELLIN::NISBET | Let me see that Hymn sheet ... | Tue May 12 1992 10:27 | 21 |
| | I've read the notes in this topic, but they're over 2 yrs old so
    presumable they'll be out of date judging by todays crazy insurance
    premiums.

    We've just had to cancel the purchase of a second hand car (1.6S
    Fiesta) because the premium would have been 800 (two named drivers,
    based in North West, Fully Comp).

    We currently have a Fiesta 1.6S, which costs us an annual premium of
    930 (any driver, fully comp, North London). UNFORTUNATELY, the
    insurance company have us down as owning a 1.6L diesel! So we expect
    another bill since the 1.6S is officially classed (by them presumably)
    as a sports car. There definition of a sports car and mine must differ
    enormously. The Fiesta 1.6S is pretty brisk, but it isn't earth
    shattering.

    We're looking for a 2 car 2 driver policy, living in Lancs. both
    drivers over 25. Any recent experiences or advice?

	NG TC 3.5 V8     2-drivers       270 quid - can't remember who with
	Montego 2.0GTI   2-drivers       350 quid Royal I think, through
					 swinton insurance
	The NG would have been 50 quid cheaper if I was over 40

| 734.17 | Only one NCB ? | FUTURS::FIDO |  | Tue Jun 30 1992 14:18 | 6 |
| | The main problem with these 2 car, 2 driver policies appears to be that
    only one NCB gets increased ( according to brokers I have spoken to ).
    Has anyone got one of these policies that allows both drivers to carry
    on getting their own NCB ?

	I was in this situation, I had a copy of the NCB, and touted it around
	different brokers, I ended up with full NCB, and with the number of
	actual years personal NCB stamped across the front - which started at
	zero.
	So, I could build my real NCB up, whilst paying the low rate for full
	NCB - if you see what I mean.

	Oh, and I forgot - Dave has full NCB on a car, he has a second car, and
	as he can proove he has full NCB on the first, they'll give him full
	NCB rate on the second - whilst he builds up the second NCB.
